If the point A(a, a.b) is in the second quadrant of the coordinate plane, in which quadrant is the point B()?

If \small (x,y) is in the second quadrant, then \small x<0,y>0.

\small A(a,a.b)  is in the second quadrant, so \small a<0  and \small a.b>0.  Therefore, \small b<0 also.

For the point \small B(a^2,\frac{a}{b}),   \small a^2>0    and  \small \frac{a}{b}>0.

Hence, B is in the first quadrant.
